I’m just about organised for VMworld 2013, but there is still a lot to do in the week leading up to VMworld USA 2013. My sessions are finalised, although there might still be a repeat of one of my session (see below), so I thought I’d let you know where I’ll be and what I’ll be up to. It’s definitely going to be an exciting and action packed week. I’m very much looking forward to meeting the almost 1000 people who have registered to attend the sessions I’m co-presenting.
Saturday 24th August
Arrive in San Francisco and the first event is now a yearly tradition. vBeers, Cheiftain from 19:00. This is a great place to hang out and meet up with your peers (at your own expense) prior to the main event starting.
Sunday 25th August
TAM Day. If you are a TAM customer this is a great event for you to attend. I will be involved in the Birds of a Feather (BoF) Luncheon and also the Virtualizing Business Critical Applications and Unix to VMware Migration Panel Discussion. Check out the VMworld 2013 TAM Day Program Guide.
Following on from TAM Day I plan to go to the VMworld USA 2013 VCDX Bootcamp. This is where people who are interested in becoming VCDX certified architects can learn about the process and what it takes. You don’t have to be defending at VMworld to be able to attend. This is a fantastic event for aspiring VMware architects and even experienced architects can learn a lot. This year the bootcamp is being held in the Westin San Francisco on Market.

Final Word
If you have any burning questions about designing, implementing or operating a VMware environment to support business critical applications then lets try and connect at VMworld. When I’m not presenting a session or helping other presenters out I’ll be in the Solution Exchange, on the VMware Booth, or in one on one expert meetings. I look forward to meeting up with a lot of friends and meeting a lot of new faces at VMworld USA 2013.
